The great Joe Posnanski was at it once again this morning, posting a list of 14 crazy but true baseball facts. The list is an absolute must read, even for the casual baseball fan because it’s full of some fun stuff including two of my new favorite trivia questions.

Q: How many times was Roger Maris intentionally walked during the 1961 season?

A: Zero. He had Mickey Mantle batting behind him.

Q: Sammy Sosa hit 60+ home runs in a single season three times. How many of those seasons did he lead the league in homers?

A: Zero. Sosa was out homered in 1998 and 1999 by Mark McGwire. In 2001 he was behind Barry Bonds.
